PUTTING ON THE ROOF

Building has its challenges.

One KI has roofing sheets that are 84 feet long.

Building on a sand dune has more physical and logistical issues when there is no vehicle access. The driveway did not allow a truck to carry 84 foot sheets. Tradesmen and many other helpers were enlisted to unload the sheets from Mad Mile Track. They then formed a caterpillar chain as 10 workers were required to walk, one sheet at a time with the sheet overhead (to prevent bowing) the length of the driveway, up the sand dune, through the house frame, down the sand dune towards the beach and then hoist the sheets to the roof for installation.
